Archaeologists from the Fairfield Foundation visited Ms. Heinsman's Math 5/6 class to demonstrate how coordinate graphing plays a vital role in preserving the context of discovered artifacts. Students actively participated by becoming "plot points," organizing themselves in the classroom based on their coordinates. They also practiced mapping artifacts from a test unit layer using measurement and coordinate graphing skills.

Apples, Apples, Apples - Ms. Compton's class had an enjoyable time incorporating apples into their lessons across various subjects. They worked together on a recipe to bake apple pies after reading "The Biggest Apple Ever." The students explored the Life Cycle of an Apple Tree and were thrilled to find the star shape inside an apple. They gathered data from tasting different apples and created graphs to determine their preferred apple dip. Additionally, they participated in an apple experiment and utilized apples to understand fractions.
